With the Summer Release 2026, Centric further strengthens its commitment to deeply integrating HR document management into SAP and HR system landscapes—securely, transparently, and in line with the day-to-day work of modern HR departments.

HR document workflows thrive on precision. Who is authorized to view which files? Which documents go to which audience? Who modified a template? And how can a workflow be managed so that it doesn’t slow down day-to-day operations but actuallyreduces the workload? With the Summer Release 2026, Centric provides new solutions to these challenges.
The latest enhancements for Centric Employee File, Centric Document Builder, Centric Payslip Box Plus, and Centric Reference Letter make digital HR document processes more flexible, transparent, and easier to manage. These improvements are based on the new features introduced in the Summer Release 2026.
A highlight of the release is found in Centric Employee File: HR teams can now centrally manage groups of people in Employee Management. Many HR processes require clearly defined target groups—such as specific countries, organizational units, managers, teams, or combinations thereof. With the new groups of people, companies can create such target groups once and then uset hem for permissions, role conditions, or processes. A group can include directly assigned employees, dynamic filters, and additional subgroups. The system automatically prevents duplicate entries and cyclic group structures Larger and internationally structured organizations, in particular, can thusmap their role and permission concepts with significantly greater precision.
People search is also becoming more practical for everyday use. In many Centric Employee File applications, the system will now display additional information about a person. This makes it easier to distinguish between employees with similar or identical names. The information displayed can be configured based on the language.
Thisrelease also reduces the number of clicks required for daily document handling. The Outlook add-in can now merge emails and attachments into a single PDF—both when filing directly into the employee file and when forwarding for indexing. When importing or manually uploading signed PDF documents, Centric Employee File also recognizes the signature date and stores it in the document metadata. In the employee file, the date appears directly in the document details.
Going forward, companies will be able to define filters for exporting documents from Centric Employee File to Centric Payslip Box Plus. This allows them to specifically limit the set of documents to be exported, for example, to employees in a particular country or based on other employee attributes.
In Centric Document Builder, the Summer Release focuses primarily on two areas: collaboration and traceability. The new admin logging provides administrators with a centralized audit log. It shows changes to document templates, text modules, placeholder mappings, roles, tags, and client settings. For each change, the system records the time, user, and modification. This makes it easier to track who worked on which configuration.
Another new feature is the ability to work with document drafts. Processes can automatically generate a document draft. The person responsible opens the draft via a task, edits it in the Document Composer, and then returns it to th eprocess. Template management has also been enhanced. In the future, invalid templates will display a warning message. This reduces the risk of invalid templates going unnoticed until document creation begins.
This release also delivers improvements in integrations. A new process step transfers PDF documents generated in the Document Builder directly to ePost processing. This means a document does not necessarily have to be saved to the employee file first before the mailing process begins. Multilingual placeholders further streamline processes. Centric passes placeholders—including available translations—on to downstream processes. As a result, companies no longer need to maintain separate processes for each language.
In Centric Payslip Box Plus, Centric separates administrative tasks even more clearly. The Payslip Box Plus Management application is now available as a separate permission. HR staff can use it to perform specific administrative tasks without being granted full administrative rights or access to document content.
Microsoft Graph role synchronization also works more smoothly. If an external user group removes a user, the next import will also remove the associated synchronized roles. This prevents outdated role assignments, such as those for former administrator rights. In Centric Reference Letter, the “Create Reference” process step now allows you to control whether paragraph options appear during the employee evaluation. This allows companies to simplify the interface depending on their process and focus on theinputs that are truly needed.
